ST. JOHN’S, Tuesday, March 27, 2007 – St. John’s Fog Devils defenseman T.J. Brennan received the Raymond-Lagacé Trophy as the League’s best rookie blueliner during a pre-game on-ice ceremony held at Mile One Stadium prior to the Fog Devils’ third game of their best-of-seven series versus the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.
Blair Kelly, a Molson-Breweries representative, was on-hand to present the award to the Fog Devils' defender. Brennan, a New Jersey native, finished the season with sixteen goals and twenty-five assists in sixty-eight games. Six of his goals were scored on the powerplay while two were game-winners. He also finished the season with 104 hits and 79 penalty minutes.
"This is a significant honor and is a true testament to TJ's outstanding performance and work ethic this season. We are unbelievably proud of him and know that many more great accomplishments remain ahead in his future," said Fog Devils Governor, Brad Dobbin.
