BOUCHERVILLE, Wednesday, September 24, 2008 – The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Disciplinary Prefect on Tuesday imposed a two-game suspension to Acadie-Bathurst Titan forward Tomy Joly for attempting to injure an opposing player. The breakdown of the suspension is as follows: an automatic one game suspension for the gesture plus an additional game for the severity of the gesture.
The incident occurred in last Sunday’s game between the Titan and the Océanic at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre.
The decision was rendered after reviewing the videotape of the incident and consulting all concerned parties. The suspension is in effect as of today.
