Suspensions imposed to Frédérik Cabana of the Halifax Mooseheads and to Scott Brophy of the Gatineau Olympiques 2005-04-15
BOUCHERVILLE, Friday April 15, 2005 (QMJHL) - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Disciplinary Prefect, Mr Maurice Filion, imposed today suspensions of two games to Frédérik Cabana of the Halifax Mooseheads and to Scott Brophy of the Gatineau Olympiques.
The Cabana sanction follows incident that occurred in the G-4 game on Wednesday April 13, the Mooseheads were visiting the Olympiques in Gatineau. Cabana received the 4.22 penalty code: slashing. Before rendering his decision, Mr Filion reviewed the videotape of the game and read the referee’s report.
The Brophy sanction follows incident that also occurred in the G-4 game. Brophy received his suspension for kneeing. Mr Filion reviewed the videotape before rendering his decision.
The two suspensions come into full force today, Friday April 15, 2005.
Accordingly to the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, Mr Filion will not be available for further comments.
